Do I need to have an active license to join Realty Connect?

No, you don't need to have an active license before joining Realty Connect. Your license must be current with your states real estate commission (active, inactive or referral). If your license is expired you will need to contact your state commission to become current before joining Realty Connect. 

Here's why: To join Realty Connect and earn referral commissions, you must be a fully licensed agent in good standing and current with your CE (Continuing Education) requirements. An expired license doesn't meet those requirements.

Here's what you need to do if you have an expired license:

1. Contact your state's real estate commission to find out what's needed to reactivate your license
2. Complete any required CE if you haven't already
3. Pay your state renewal fees if applicable
4. Once your license is current , you'll be ready to join Realty Connect

Important note: If your license has expired, most states offer a redemption/late renewal period right after expiration. However, you cannot perform licensed activities or receive commissions until it's officially renewed and active again.
